"Parasite" is a South Korean black comedy thriller film directed by Bong Joon-ho. It tells the story of the impoverished Kim family, who cunningly infiltrate the wealthy Park family's household, resulting in unexpected consequences.

Summary of the movie:

The Kim family, consisting of father Ki-taek, mother Chung-sook, son Ki-woo, and daughter Ki-jung, struggle to make ends meet while living in a cramped semi-basement apartment. When Ki-woo's friend Min-hyuk offers him a chance to tutor the wealthy Park family's daughter, Da-hye, he seizes the opportunity. Manipulating the Parks' trust, Ki-woo gradually integrates his family members into the lives of the unsuspecting Parks. His sister, Ki-jung, poses as an art therapist for their young son, Da-song, while their parents take on the roles of chauffeur and housekeeper.

As the Kims immerse themselves in the luxurious lifestyle of the Parks, they revel in their newfound wealth and status. However, their scheme is threatened when they discover that the previous housekeeper, Moon-gwang, and her husband, Geun-sae, have been secretly living in the basement of the Park residence. A tense confrontation between the two families ensues, revealing the stark class divide and the lengths the Kims are willing to go to maintain their newfound positions.

The story takes a dark turn when the Parks leave for a camping trip, leaving the Kim family to enjoy their temporary luxury. Unexpectedly, Geun-sae reveals a secret passage within the basement, leading to a hidden underground bunker. Here, the Kims find Geun-sae's wife, Moon-gwang, and learn that she had been exploiting the Parks' gullibility for years. The situation spirals out of control when Moon-gwang and Geun-sae attack the Kims, resulting in deaths and injuries.

As the Parks return early from their trip due to torrential rain, chaos erupts in the Park residence. Ki-taek, in a fit of desperation and resentment, fatally stabs the Parks' patriarch, Mr. Park, during a confrontation. In the aftermath, the Kim family is torn apart and scattered, with Ki-woo sustaining a severe head injury and being imprisoned for the crime.
